From packed dance floors in underground Tokyo clubs; sunset beach parties in Bali; and renowned New York City boutique hotel lounges, to 5-star Puerto Rican villas and exotic, oriental chill out bars in Istanbul…as a producer and DJ, Timka has taken many on a music journey for well over a decade. Timka’s first love is House music, in all its sublime forms. Whether creating it, or playing it out, he is equally comfortable in his element, spinning Deep House and Nu Disco, as he is with uptempo, dancefloor shakers and downtempo, electronica inspired sets. Having worked for three and a half years as Music Director and Head Resident of Buddha Bar New York, Timka quickly became accustomed to catering to a discerning listener, as well as being the principal architect of a music policy that introduced New York to some of the world’s top DJ talent. Prior to then, Timka held residencies at many New York hot spots including, BED, The Hudson, Thompson Hotel Bar,
and The Morgan. Currently, Timka holds weekly residencies at Tao New York (Uptown), and is the Music Director and resident DJ of Buddakan and Hakkasan NYC. Timka is no stranger to the celebrity and A-List party circuit having performed alongside such Industry icons as David Bowie, Alicia Keyes, Justin Timberlake and John Legend – as well as sharing the decks with such heavyweight DJ talent as Sam Popat, Claude Challe, Stéphane Pompougnac (Hotel Costes), Antoine Clamaran and Behrouz. Furthermore, he has spun at countless fashion shows and private events for many top tastemakers and prominent companies including: Kenneth Cole, Maybelline, Victoria Secret, Vogue Eyewear, Conde Nast, Gotham Magazine, Grace Magazine, InStyle, Hamptons Magazine, Billboard Magazine, Douglas Hannant, and noted celeb photographer, Patrick McMullan. Timka’s role as a leading DJ goes hand in hand with his endeavors in the studio where he has worked closely with famed production team, Mood II Swing, while also completing club anthem remixes for Sony Music recording artists Vivian Green, Natasha Bedingfield, Vanessa Daou and Nadine Coyle. His ethnotronic production abilities have made him highly sought after by top-level multinational companies and organizations, completing original music for the Japanese airline ANA, the Japanese Ministry of Tourism, and most recently programming the music for the opening ceremonies of the 2015 Special Olympics in Los Angeles with Gray Devio. Currently Timka is working with multi-talented musician and production partner, Gray Devio, on a variety of music, ranging from epic dance anthems to Adele-like pop ballads, as well as performing live together as "VIOS".
